From the outset, Paul and Amanda showed genuine respect for the original features of my home, thoughtfully integrating them into a design that feels both timeless and fresh. They took the time to truly listen to what I wanted to achieve and understood my priorities, helping to shape a home that reflects my lifestyle.
Their knowledge of inner west terrace houses was invaluable, they knew exactly how to make the most of the space, ensuring every detail served a purpose. They also brought creative, architectural elements to the design that made the project feel truly unique.
Equally important was their strong understanding of the local council and planning rules, which gave me confidence throughout the process and helped things move smoothly. They also found an excellent builder (Oskus) to execute on the build, who respected the design and quality of the project.
I’m so pleased with the result and would highly recommend them to anyone embarking on a renovation or new build in the inner west.Read More

We started our renovation journey with a fair bit of anxiety about its complexity. We wanted to add another storey to allow for multigenerational living. At the same time, we need to improve the thermal comfort of our existing house. All of these must be achieved, while having a low maintenance home and minimising energy usage.
In Paul and Amanda, we've found the right architects in guiding us on this journey. With Paul, he listens closely to our ideas and translates them into practical design options that steer our decisions. He brings a structured approach in distilling our feedback and requests into innovative solutions. With Amanda, she enthusiastically guides us in exploring designs that embrace Passivehaus principles, while making room for a dash of bold colours and materials to delineate the ground floor from second storey. Together, they’ve succeeded in delivering a design that meets our high expectations for thermal comfort and sustainable living.
Throughout the tendering and construction phases, Paul and Amanda have patiently supported and guided us in working with the builder (Coronata Construction). Due to our previous bad experience, we were quite guarded in our initial discussions with Coronata. Paul was tireless in advising and nudging us to overcome our concerns and finalise the contract. And he has proven to be right.
Paul and Amanda are highly professional and full of warmth and humour. Through the strong rapport we have with them, they help mediate countless conflicting wishes that we have as a couple. All in all, we have them to thank for in realising our dream home.Read More

From the time of my first phone call to Paul and Amanda, to the completion of my home renovation, they were nothing short of amazing. I had never embarked on a project like this before and it was quite overwhelming, but they were expert at guiding me through every step of the way. They took the time to really understand what I hoped to achieve, and the design they delivered more than met the brief. The design blended beautifully with my existing federation house which was very important to me, as was the role of the garden, which seamlessly integrates with the house now. They were always available for the many questions I had, and were extremely patient when I flip flopped on decisions. They truly went above and beyond with this project, including towards the end when the builder encountered an issue with one of the suppliers, stepping in as mediators. In addition, they were a delight to work with! And the finished product turned out even better than I could have hoped for. Seeing the astonished reactions of friends and family as they walk into our new home is an amazing feeling. I couldn’t recommend Paul and Amanda more highly and would absolutely work with them again in the future.Read More

PANDA Testimonial
We have always dreamed of the opportunity to work with an architect and transform a property.
In 2021, that dream became a reality when we purchased a little rundown cottage in Queens Park.
After researching several architectural firms and having some initial conversations, we met with Paul and Amanda to discuss our project. From the first meeting, it was clear that they not only had the expertise to deliver a fantastic result but also that we had a strong rapport, which was just as important to us. We felt comfortable and confident that they understood our vision.
Paul and Amanda took the time to listen, ask the right questions, and really get a feel for the site. They were personable, professional, and patient throughout the entire process.
Our brief was simple:
- “Everything we need and nothing we don’t.”
- Use of robust, durable materials.
- A low-maintenance design following passive house principles.
They explored many options, especially since we had to work around a flood zone ruling that presented several challenges. Each design they proposed was thoughtful and aligned perfectly with our brief—we could have chosen any of them and been thrilled with the result. They truly understood what we were looking for.
We purposely waited until we had lived in the house for a while before writing this testimonial because we wanted to reflect on how we felt about the home in practice, not just on paper.
From the very first night, we were absolutely over the moon with everything about the house. It immediately felt like home, and it’s all the little details that Paul and Amanda included that really make it special.
PANDA are great people.
They nailed the brief.
We love our house.
