We have always dreamed of the opportunity to work with an architect and transform a property.

In 2021, that dream became a reality when we purchased a little rundown cottage in Queens Park.

After researching several architectural firms and having some initial conversations, we met with Paul and Amanda to discuss our project. From the first meeting, it was clear that they not only had the expertise to deliver a fantastic result but also that we had a strong rapport, which was just as important to us. We felt comfortable and confident that they understood our vision.

Paul and Amanda took the time to listen, ask the right questions, and really get a feel for the site. They were personable, professional, and patient throughout the entire process.

Our brief was simple:

- “Everything we need and nothing we don’t.”

- Use of robust, durable materials.

- A low-maintenance design following passive house principles.

They explored many options, especially since we had to work around a flood zone ruling that presented several challenges. Each design they proposed was thoughtful and aligned perfectly with our brief—we could have chosen any of them and been thrilled with the result. They truly understood what we were looking for.

We purposely waited until we had lived in the house for a while before writing this testimonial because we wanted to reflect on how we felt about the home in practice, not just on paper.

From the very first night, we were absolutely over the moon with everything about the house. It immediately felt like home, and it’s all the little details that Paul and Amanda included that really make it special.

It was awesome to come by to see you both looking sooo super relaxed and in permanent holiday mode in your completely transformed forever home.
