Lean and low in the Australian Bush

Set within a foreshore scenic protection and bushfire prone area (BAL 40), this linear extension is grafted onto the side of the existing dwelling. The design responds to its highly sensitive and onerous constraints and topography by maintaining a low profile and simple aesthetic form, while protecting efficiently placed windows from a potential bushfire hazard.
